An opportunity is available for an onsite Early Childhood Teacher specializing in special education within a school setting. This contract position runs from mid-February through mid-June 2026 and involves a caseload focused on early childhood education.
Location: Wilmington, DE
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, including a 30-minute paid lunch break
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support early childhood students with special needs
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to both individual and group learning objectives
- Collaborate with families, staff, and support personnel to promote student growth and inclusivity
- Monitor and document student progress with ongoing assessments and adapt strategies as needed
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education services
Qualifications And Experience
- A valid Delaware teaching license is required to be considered
- Dual licensure in Special Education and Early Childhood Education is highly preferred; however, candidates holding either license may also apply
- Experience working with early childhood special education students is essential
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within an educational team
